She also worked with the Pentagon and with the administration of George Bush the elder as an expert on foreign affairs. She returned to Stanford during the Bill Clinton administration before being tapped as NSA by the younger President Bush. In January of 2005, after Bush was elected to a second term, Rice replaced Colin Powell as Secretary of State.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Extra credit: Rice remains a talented musician; in 2002 she performed a concert in Washington, D.C. with cellist Yo Yo Ma. Rice had an oil tanker named for her while she was a member of the Chevron Corporation board of directors during the 1990s. In 2001 the company changed the name of the ship to the Altair Voyager... Rice is the first African-American woman to hold the post of Secretary of State. If the words below are sentences write Yes and No I the words are not.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Example: My father drives his car to work. &lt;span style="color:#ffcc66;"&gt;Yes&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Adjectives are nouns too but become adjectives when they come before a noun. Adjectives tell us more about what size, color, shape, and how many there are.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are some examples of adjectives:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc66;"&gt;blue&lt;/span&gt; sweater&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc66;"&gt;car&lt;/span&gt; keys&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc66;"&gt;dirty&lt;/span&gt; water&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc66;"&gt;bright&lt;/span&gt; lights&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc66;"&gt;Christmas&lt;/span&gt; tree&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Read the following sentences then draw a circle around the adjective.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. We went to a French restaurant for dinner.&lt;br /&gt;2. A black cat sat on the green sofa.&lt;br /&gt;3. Jerry is in the fifth grade.&lt;br /&gt;4. Dad wore a white shirt and gray pants.&lt;br /&gt;5. We had cloudy weather for three days.&lt;br /&gt;6. Let’s have lemon cake for strawberry ice cream for dessert.&lt;br /&gt;7.
